While the figures released by ONS aren’t telling a story that we didn’t already know, the question is how long businesses are going to ignore the millions of people who aren’t ready for a move to online services.
We have already seen sectors like telecoms and media companies start applying charges for paper statements in their drive for efficiency and cost cutting, and we need to ensure that customers’ rights to receive their transactional mail in a way that suits their needs are not lost. We are proud to offer a voice to the people who aren’t able to access online services; it was why the campaign started, and it is what drives us every day. We are committed to doing all we can to prevent digitally excluded people from losing control of their finances.
