The Keep Me Posted campaign responds to Ofgem’s plans to force utility providers to highlight the benefits of shopping around and switching to another provider on their bills and statements:

Judith Donovan CBE, Chair, of the Keep Me Posted campaign, said: “We have long campaigned to safeguard the consumer’s right to paper bills from their energy provider –we know that a regular paper bill encourages people to take the time to consider their energy usage and the cost. It makes perfect sense that Ofgem would encourage consumers to reconsider their tariffs and make sure they are getting the best deal through paper statements.

“We hope that further revisions to the energy industry consider the benefit of paper bills to consumers. Recently OVO Energy joined our campaign on behalf of their customers. We hope other utility companies will consider the benefits to their customers and follow suit.”
