The Keep Me Posted campaign is delighted to welcome three new organisations in the fight for the consumer’s right to choose: the Addington Fund, the Scottish Pensioners Forum and Glasgow Old People’s Welfare Association.

The addition of the organisations puts Keep Me Posted’s growing number of supporters at 98, taking us tantalisingly close to the milestone 100 supporters mark.

The Addington Fund supports farming families in England and Wales who have left the industry and risk losing their homes. The charity provides housing and hardship grants to those in need.

Initiated by the STUC, the Scottish Pensioners Forum is a national body representing the interests of Scottish pensioners. It brings together groups and individuals working and campaigning for a better deal for older people.

Glasgow Old People’s Welfare Association provides direct services to elderly people living in Glasgow. With 5 day centres, 100 weekly clubs and various other social events, they aim to combat isolation and loneliness, encouraging the elderly to socialise and feel included in their communities.

By pledging their support for the Keep Me Posted campaign, the Addington Fund, Scottish Pensioners Forum and Glasgow Old People’s Welfare Association have added their voices to our call for consumer choice.

The elderly, and people living in rural areas, are amongst those that rely most heavily on paper communications. This can be due to having poor internet connectivity, being unable to afford a computer or lacking personal digital skills. The Keep Me Posted campaign is proud to be working to protect the rights of these people and others who simply want a say in how they receive important information from their service providers.

With the help of the Addington Fund, Scottish Pensioners Forum and Glasgow Old People’s Welfare Association, as well as our many other supporters, we will continue to fight for access to paper bills and statements for all who want or need them.
